Watched it for the first time last night. Since my brother-in-law does lobstering from Nova Scotia and I lived in Gloucester for a few years, I found that show fascinating.

I really enjoy watching that, as well as the "Deadliest Catch" series. Hard working folks, man v sea...

It's real drama, not created (for the most part).

They're not like the Maine lobster crews but they are true blooded Mass. fishermen.

My brother is based in Maine and never does those long runs like these guys. One helper, out for 14 to 16 hour days in season and haul all that they can, then bait and drop.

5. My BIL goes out for a month at a time to George's Banks.

When he swordfishes, he's gone 3 months. They are a tough bunch of guys--and now women, which is cool considering they used to pee on the deck if a woman came aboard.

13. Haven't seen any of Lobster Wars yet, but I'm addicted to Deadliest Catch..

We picked up season one on DVD for $20 a couple weeks ago.. waiting with bated breath for season 2 which is due in October.
