What was the first concert you ever went to?
For me, it was Emerson, Lake and Palmer in 1976. It was also the first time I ever did acid. :)

35. Janis Joplin with Big Brother and the Holding Company ...
opening act was Blood, Sweat, and Tears. 1968.

Right after both "Cheap Thrills" and the second BST album came out.

Her first national tour, the 13,000 seat Cleveland Public Auditorium was only 1/3 full.

After Woodstock, which I also attended, everything changed and rock became big business.

She's a real legend. Every once in a while, I break out "Piece of My Heart" and play it very loud. That was when female singers didn't necessarily have to be beautiful dolls with big boobs.

If you want to split hairs, Mom and Dad took us to see Dolly Parton and Porter Waggoner at a fair in '75, I think. Since I don't remember much of it, I'm not counting it. Maybe I'm trying to block it from my memory
