So I just listened to the new Springsteen album..."Magic" |
|
And I gotta tell ya, pretty damn cool. A lot like the 80's Bruce. Seeing how I got it off a pirate site, I did not read the words (something I think is crucial)so I did not get too far into the lyrical content, but I liked what I heard.
I really love the song "Magic'...and "Long Walk Home', "Devil's Arcade" and "Terry's Song". "Terry's Song" is almost like somehting off of Devils and Dust. the rest are pretty much like Born in the USA or the River era Bruce.

I think the last album he did with the ESB was The Rising. Nothing against the Seeger Session Band: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CROgpqIPvUk

5. I just got Springsteen tickets this morning |
|
We're going Oct 17th at the Garden, I can hardly wait!! It's good to hear that Bruce is back to his old style again, not that I didn't think his Seeger Sessions stuff was bad, but it just wasn't my cup of tea

and the show was flat out incredible. Especially the show at jazzfest. That is why I love Bruce, he is not afraid to do different things and not make the same old crap all the time.
Btw< I won't put it up here but you can get it if you google Bruce Springsteen magic sendspace.

8. I saw him a few years ago without the E. Street Band... |
|
I think it was for his Devils and Dust tour, mainly acoustic stuff and he was flat out amazing plus it was the first time in almost 30 years that he played in my hometown which made it extra special. Still I don't think many performers today can beat Bruce for stage presence when he's with his band. I've seen him live 6 or 7 times and it was always great

Perfect music for the setting. I was right up front for it too, and got some amazing pics.
