At the $5 bid at Wal-Mart!

I'm debating between watching SNL or Galaxy Quest...

8. Well, it looks like SNL is a repeat, but I don't think I've seen it...
So I guess I'll watch that now, and GQ tomorrow.

14. The Peyton Manning episode
was possibly the best ep of the season. Yeah, I still watch it for some reason.

Peyton introduces the Manning family during the monologue and mentions how they were all a little disapointed in Mom for not making it in the NFL.

The parody of the feel-good NFL/United Way commercials where Manning criticizes children who couldn't catch his passes. "The NFL and United Way urge you to spend time with your kids so Peyton Manning doesn't."

And the sketch with him as a basketball player in the locker room down by 33 points. "Coach, can I be real? I just thought about going out there for the second half and a little pee came out."

10. Great movie!
It managed to be both affectionately mocking and genuinely respectful toward us sci-fi fans at the same time, and that's quite a trick!

18. That is a great movie...
It's completely cheese ball...and I believe it introduced us to the MAC kid, didn't it?
And I TOTALLY WHOLE-HEARTEDLY Agree with you about Alan Rickman. He's a complete Chameleon.

21. The Mac kid!
THAT'S where I know him from! Whenever I saw the kid in the movie and I would think, "Where did I see him before?" It was driving me nuts! He was just a teen and not quite as cool as he is in the Mac commercials ... but it's definitely him.

Thanks! :toast:

But they hit almost every note just right.

Love that movie!

Guy Fleegman was great, too. "Look around you — can you construct some sort of rudimentary lathe?"

"You're not gonna die on the planet, Guy."

"I'm not? Then what's my last name?"

"It's, uh, uh - I don't know."

"Nobody knows. Do you know why? Because my character isn't important enough for a last name, because I'm gonna die five minutes in!"

29. THAT was a GREAT movie!
I walked out of the movie with a big smile on my face and wanting more, feeling that I had just been thoroughly entertained in a way that doesn't happen very often anymore. The movie was pitch perfect from start to finish, with absolutely great lead performances and a whole slew of secondary characters that were allowed to really shine.

30. never give up never surrender!!!!!
Galaxy Quest is probably my favorite motivational movie

Sad but true.

When I have to keep going and I just want to mail it in, I pop it in the machine. Once bought a copy for a close friend who was at wits end for motivational reason. She thought I was nuts....

Oh well---Lead a horse to water....
