Just Got The New TV Guide Fall Preview Issue, Bo y Am I Bummed
Edited on Sun Sep-09-07 03:03 PM by Liberalynn
I feel a let down coming. I confess I always used to be a TV addict and looked forward to the fall and the new crop of shows. Every year my disappointment has grown with the distinct lack of quality shows, but this IMHO looks like the worst group of newbies that I can recall.

Don't get me wrong I like good science fiction/fantasy but these all just seem either pure cheese or ripped off retreads.

Moonlight echoes Buffy and Angel, Pushing Daisies sounds a bit like Tru Calling only with a Male Lead, Dirty Sexy Money aka Dallas, Dynasty 2000, Private Practice-do we really need more of Gray's Anatomy when you can't escape it now?, a darker Bionic Woman- hey I liked the original when I was a kid, but I grew up, and doesn't its producer have any original ideas?, Commercials turning into TV shows about Cavemen? What gives?

The only one I am slightly interested in is Women's Murder Club on ABC. The rest I'm not even going to bother with. Mid season doesn't sound much more promising either.

If I had HBO I might watch the show about couple's counseling because I like Ally Walker as an actress but I am not ordering it, just for that.

Guess I will be watching more DVD's and Home and Garden than ever. Maybe BBC America will have some decent entries.

Torchwood looks promising although I missed it last night, and I still have Nip/Tuck (which Ryan Murphy now says might run 2 more seasons in addition to the upcoming one), Ghost Hunters, NCIS, and SVU.

1. I really don't watch TV anymore.
I remember when I was a little kid waiting for all the new shows to start.

If I watch a show it will be on the DVR, DVD or tape.

I like BBC America.

I find myself preferring the British shows.

3. American tv is boring except for a few shows.
We would never have Dr. Who from American tv.
