Okay, quick question about iPods and iTunes: |
|
Aren't the songs and albums that I imported into my iTunes library supposed to download into my iPod automatically when I hook it up to the computer? I seem to remember it being that way. They haven't uploaded yet. It's still recharging. Will the new songs appear on the iPod menu after it's finished recharging?
Help!

1. You have to make the selection that you want the automatic update. |

2. Check your iPod settings. |
|
If you have "Manually manage music and videos," then it won't sync automatically. Decheck this option and hit "Sync" if you want to load your iTunes library to your iPod.

6. Over on the left hand side of the iTunes screen, it will show your device, the little ipod icon. |
|
Click on that, then look at the main screen. There's an "Option" section at the bottom. Just uncheck the "manually manage..." option, that will automatically sync your tunes when you plug in your ipod.

7. I don't see an iPod icon anywhere, but in the File Menu, there's a selection called 'Sync iPod'. |
|
But it's not highlighted.

8. You have the latest itunes installed? Are you sure the USB cable is all nice and tight? Maybe unplug |
|
the cable and re-seat it and see if the icon shows up in itunes. If it ain't there, then itunes isn't seeing your ipod.

9. My computer has two ports for accessories like the iPod. |
|
I just switched to the other port. I'll see what happens.

11. Hey, there it goes! I guess I got it now. |
|
Before, my iTunes library was synched to my Frostware Tunes, which I have no idea what the hell that is! When I was trying to download the iTunes software, this FrostWire stuff popped up and took over; I just thought it was part of iTunes. But I can't figure out what the hell it's for. :argh:
Anyway, looks like all my imported CD's are synched with my iPod now.
Thanks, guys.

13. Frostwire is a P2P file sharing program like Limewire. It syncs music that you download from there |
|
with your itunes if you want.
