Oversalted burger leads to charges
- A McDonald's employee spent a night in jail and is facing criminal charges because a police officer's burger was too salty, so salty that he says it made him sick.

Kendra Bull was arrested Friday, charged with misdemeanor reckless conduct and freed on $1,000 bail.

Bull, 20, said she accidentally spilled salt on hamburger meat and told her supervisor and a co-worker, who "tried to thump the salt off."

On her break, she ate a burger made with the salty meat. "It didn't make me sick," Bull told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

But then Police Officer Wendell Adams got a burger made with the oversalted meat, and he returned a short time later and told the manager it made him sick.

1. When I bite into a salty burger, the first thing I do is eat the whole thing.

Now we have salty burger arresting cops.

Edit note: There are other things that can't be mentioned without locking that have a salty taste

5. They sent samples to the state crmie lab? This is ridiculous...
if they arrested everyone who served you a lousy meal half the country would be in the slam.

(The key question here is if the cop paid for the burger.(

10. She should stick to spitting on the meat.
They can't taste it, and it's just as satisying.

11. She told the manager and s/he allowed it to be sold anyway...and the SHE is the one
arrested?

I hope she sues the city for false arrest.

While it has been many years since I worked McDs while in college, I do remember one night when a young third assistant manager was in charge.

I was working the front when a grill worker came to me with a container of browning, wilted lettuce.

She was upset because the assist. manager told her she had to use all that lettuce on the Big Macs before he would allow her to get fresh lettuce.

I took the the container of lettuce to the assit. manager (I was nineteen, he was eighteen) and told him in no uncertain terms that I would not serve any Big Mac to any customer that had that lettuce on it.

My back was to the back door and I didn't hear the owner of that particular McDs walk in behind me.

I turned to leave the assist mangager and found the owner directly behind me. :scared: I thought I was fired for sure.

But you know what? The owner chewed out the assist manager out for even thinking of using that lettuce.

Nothing was ever said to me.

So, in this case, I blame the manager, not the person who spilled the salt.

And I don't think it is an arrestable offense.

The McDs only needed to apologise, refund the man's money, give him a new burger, and some coupons for future meals...

The cop was out of line. If the burger was so salty it made him sick, he shouldn't have eaten it.

(Personal responsibility and all that.)
