Cocoa Beach, Florida. Can a space shuttle launch be viewed? |
|
Obscure question, I know.
I am going to be down there at the Hilton on the morning of a scheduled launch. Can I view the launch from the beach?

I used to see them from Palm Coast, FL no problem when I lived there, and Cocoa's closer to the launch pad than Palm Coast.

Not only Cocoa Beach but even as far north as Daytona. One great spot is just over the causeway leading into Cocoa Beach.
PM me if you wish. I know some of the folks working at the Cape and I can occasionally get passes from them for the official viewing stands (where the astronaut families watch).

4. Wow. What a nice offer. Unfortunately, I am an idiot...and got the date wrong. |
|
What a boneheaded play. Shoot. Really wanted to see it.

3. You can normally see it as far south as Jupiter |
|
But, if you are in Cocoa Beach you will have one of the best views.
