I wrote this awhile back. I was kind of a "hit" in an unintended sort of way. And I've been adding to it. So come up with your own verse, it really writes itself.

but I do remember a thread where I was on the receiving end of "shut up". I believe that was your "zombie bacteria" thread.
I'm not poetical enough to add a real lyric to your poem (which I love although I think I may have told you that before, I remember seeing this elsewhere) but maybe something about how before you go on ignore, I will steal your best phrases to use when I don't know what else to say (which has happened to me)

It was in a thread about the latest stupid thing that got said on Fox News by Bill O'Reilly. Somebody told me I was using debate tactics like Bill O'Reilly. I pointed out that the thread we were debating on, coincidentally happened to be about Bill O'Reilly, and that he or she was coming down on the same side of the issue that Bill O'Reilly was, so if anybody was sounding like Bill O'Reilly, it'd be him or her.

He or she then told me they were putting me on ignore.

Kidding, of course. Question though... what has prompted this wave of ridicule toward people who deal with situations by loudly placing people on their ignore list? Was there a specific incident, or just a cumulative thing?

12. Oh, specific incidents. Certainly.

The poem was inspired by a number of actually events, the gist of which is expressed in the poem. I actually wrote the thing when somebody falsely called somebody else a child molester then put them on ignore. I was so amused I posted the poem, and then got put on ignore by that same person. I decided to repost it, because earlier today, there was a thread soliciting opinions, and I gave mine, and I was promptly put on ignore. They even started a whole new thread about it.

I find the whole thing very silly. But maybe that's just me.
