4. The thing I found so odd was Vick treating these animals like crap.
Does he not understand he is the human equivalent of a pit bull fighting dog? He is no better than the dogs he kept. He is here to entertain and risk injury in the "ring" just like the dogs he killed for poor performance.

5. I think that's exactly why some behave this way.
They get to treat another being the way they feel they are treated, behaving in a godlike life or death manner.

7. Always the sickest part of animal abuse.
Abusing a creature that is usually a trusting and unconditionally loving animal that cannot understand why this pain is being inflicted.

The sense of betrayal must be beyond human understanding.
