I just made a dental appointment |
|
figuring they wouldn't be able to fit me in until November. I got an appointment for THIS Friday.
Just a routine cleaning. I'm a new patient there.
...their website looks really nice, but...
Should I be really, really worried? :scared:

4. I'm not worried about clean teeth! |
|
I'm worried that they could fit me in that fast. As in...why don't they have more patients?

6. That's what I keep saying |
|
but since I called my doctor for a routine check-up last week and she couldn't fit me in until November, this has me a bit nervous.
Hell, my hair salon can't even fit me in that quickly!

I'm sure it was a cancellation, sweetie!
Anyway, you have no control over what's happening, so stop worrying!
You'll be fine....
And your teeth will be beautiful!
If you want to be proactive, take an ibuprofen before you go, about an hour ahead...
That'll help with the pain, if you have any...

I keep telling myself that anyway. :)
I will definitely take ibuprofen. I have really sensitive gums, so dentist visits always hurt. x(

9. Was this somebody who came recommended? |
|
Because I have a GREAT dentist I highly recommend (offices are near the Beverly Center). And he's hot, too.
Very sensitive to fearful patients (that's how I ended up there), and wonderful office staff, too.

11. Nope, no recommendation... |
|
just really, really close to my apartment. And their website is fabulous. Complete with pictures and bios for all of the dentists.
I'm hoping I don't regret it. If I hate them, I'll definitely ask for your dentist's phone number! ;)

If I don't absolutely love the dentist I just made an appointment with, I'll switch to yours for the next check-up.
He IS hot... ;)
I hate the dentist too. I have ultra-sensitive gums, which makes the experience something less than pleasant. x(

I had it when I got my wisdom teeth pulled.

14. I wouldn't be too worried. |
|
It happened that way with my current dentist. I called to make my initial appointment, and they saw me within a few days. It turns out this is the best dentist I have ever had, all of his staff are great, and I probably won't go to anyone else until I absolutely have to.
I wouldn't judge the quality of the dentist by the availability of his/her schedule alone. If you're just in for a routine cleaning, then use that relatively easy procedure to determine whether or not you would trust that dentist to do work that is more detailed and difficult.
I'm just saying to go in there Friday with an open mind. Good luck! :hi:

Unfortunately, I REALLY hate going to the dentist, so I know I'm going into this with a bad attitude anyway.
Plus, my aunt is a hygienist and the only other dentist I've gone to in YEARS was her boss...and I knew the entire staff personally. They were all rather extra-nice to me, so I'm not looking forward to a non-insider trip to the dentist. x(
