Automatic transmissions SUCK!
Every problem I've ever had with any of the cars I have driven stems from one thing: The transmission.

Who the hell thought that the automatic transmission was ever a good idea anyways?

1. They're great in the big city traffic. Clutches wear out fast in the city,
I don't like stick shifts. Cuz I'm a city girl.

3. in 30 years of driving, i've only had one AT go out on me.
unless set up correctly and comforatably, manual transmissions are an instument of torture.

5. No they don't
I have a 1959 and 1968 car that have never had a tranny problem even once.

Are you messing with the lever while the car is in motion?

6. I prefer standard tranmissions myself
But in the metro-Atlanta area, one wears through clutches rapidly.

I've had good luck with A/Ts myself. The one in my 91 Camaro finally bought in after well over 200,000 miles. I neglected that car horribly for several years prior to that. (The engine crapped out about the same, for the same reason ... neglect. So I built a bigger engine and stuck a trans ripped from the wreck of an 84 Camaro in it. Runs like a bat now.)
