Anyone know of an actual real FREE music writing program I can download?
I don't need much. Just enough for a piano composition. I thought I had downloaded Notebook 2007 but apparently not.


I have cross posted this from the music group because it is getting lost there. :-(

2. Try Finale Notepad
It's basically a watered down version of Finale 2008.

4. I use Noteworthy Composer
The free version will only let you save a file 10 times, but if I ever have to modify a file more than 10 times I just copy and paste everything onto a new one. :)

It'll also let you save as a MIDI file, which I find useful for what I do.

I don't know if it has built in notation for piano pedals and whatnot, I've never used it for that. But it's free. :)
