I'm big JZ fan, saw him a few times with Weather Report. Most people don't know that he wrote "Mercy Mercy Mercy", made amous by Cannonball Adderly. RIP JOE!

7. Such a great loss
Joe was one of the most musical synthesists ever to play the synthesizer. His chordal textures on Rhodes and acoustic piano were stunning as well...truly an all-round genius keyboardist. He will be hugely missed...a musician's musician.
