Well, I bought my youngest cat a new litterbox yesterday, the kind with the top on it.
She is a large cat so I was tired of cleaning up the litter on the floor around her old box.

She has used the box but isn't happy about it.

The cat has been in a bad mood all day, the looks she is giving me.

1. I haven't seen a covered box big enough for a large cat
My cat is very large too, I use a rectangular litterbox and just stick an upside down cardboard box with the cut out in the side (courtesy of Costco) on top to kinda keep any odors from spreading. Plus, kittys (bless their hearts!) like to be thorough in their part of the job -- coverup -- and maybe it's harder for the cat in the covered box.

4. I also needed the covered box because of my dog.
The cat is getting over it, cats don't like change.

This is a really large covered box, the kind that can fit in a corner.

7. I take it your cat was not happy either.
Junior will get over it.

11. Of course, she is a beautiful cat and knows it.
Our cats have not damaged any thing so far, the dog won't let them.

She will follow them around and stop them if they are doing something she doesn't like.

It is really funny to watch.

10. OH my god!
Persian? I had a Persian named Mister (Mister Vincent Kincaide, for short--it was a collective naming process), who looked very much like that cat. He had a covered box, too, and he wouldn't go inside it to pee. He would sit on top and pee through the filter grating.

12. Well he was trying.
Junior has been in and out of the box several times now.

Now I don't have to worry about the dog into the litter box.
