2. Career as what, though? |
|
As a kitschy pop star, her career is probably done.
As tabloid fodder and accidental flasher, probably not.

9. Her career as jailbait has been over ever since she turned 18 |
|
The fact is, as a pop star she had no real talent. It was always about jiggling around and playing the tease. If it was enough to attract fans a few years ago, it'll be enough to maintain a fan club for years to come.

6. We can only hope. And not good porn, either, but the kind of porn that's humiliating |
|
and drug-based and has her sacrificing every last ounce of the pathetic amount of humanity she had to begin with.

5. She could play Carl in the live action version of "Aquateens" |
|
A smart casting director would make that happen.

I think I'd rather watch a train wreck.
Still, it's interesting that they received so many views.

14. My prediction: she will dissapear for 1 year |
|
We won't hear much from her...then she will announce that she has "accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior" and will only do Fundie Rock from now on.
They will accept her with open arms...and we will be subjected to that crap.

Somehow, I wouldn't be surprised if your prediction came true.
Of course, she'll dress the same and act the same; but it'll all be ok since she'll be singing Jeeezus Crispies tunes.

16. In all seriousness, she could revive her career as an entertainer. |
|
With name recognition like she has, she will be able to get a camera any time she wants for another couple of years.
It would take tremendous commitment to focus on one goal, develop her talent in that area (whatever area she chooses), and make wise decisions. Her talent was never singing, it was performing. She was a passable sex-kitten dancer, and a fun personality, and a barely passable singer. Careers have been built on much less.
She would have to figure out what she has that an audience would want to see. That little rehearsal-grade dance performance she put on the other night won't do it--that was an insult to the audience. That was the spoiled kid thinking people really did just want to see her. She's got to figure out what they really do want, grow up, sober up, and work on something.
But you can't buy the name recognition she has, and you can't buy the type of sympathy she has from some people. There's a large group of people out there who want to see her succeed, so she has a base audience.
Personally, I don't see anything in her recent actions that indicates she can do it. She's taking the easy road, and has since before her first meltdown and first marriage--or at least that's what it looks like to me, from a distance and from the few tabloid headlines I've read. But she did it once, so somewhere she's got the ability. She just has to get the mindset.

24. First she has to get the mind... |
|
The mindset may follow... :snark-off:
I can't help thinking she should take a soul-searching vacation...just kind of disappear for a few months; and get her act together. Nobody's going to forget her name.

27. She's lost. Poor kid. |
|
It came so easy before, or rather, she had to work hard, but she didn't have to do any thinking or planning. Now she doesn't know how to do. And those who made the money off her have picked out the next kid to create and then ruin.

25. I dunno...Years ago, when I worked in a record store, |
|
the local stations would call us to find out which singles sold the best/were most requested. The manager just gave stats off the top of his head, because we couldn't really keep track of that kind of thing.
