Is Everyone From Texas Full Of It? |
|
Been working with some contractors from Texas on a multi-million dollar IT contract and they all lie, screw up and blame everyone else for their screw ups. I am seriously considering quitting cause I don't think I can deal with them another friggen day. They seem to have learned everything they know from Rove.

ask them, for example, if their surname is FRENCH. That is one of my favorites (assuming of course their name is NOT French).
Work the word PECAN into a conversation and say PEA-CAN - when they correct you and say it is pea-CAHN, say, OH, YOU PREFER THE FRENCH PRONUNCIATION. It drives them NUTS (he is that a pun???)!!! :7

|
In fact, the hero he was trying to emulate was Richard Nixon, who I beleive was from a state out west... Same state that gave us Ronald Reagan... Now THAT state, that one had some liars.

But he was as racist and hate-filled as anyone I've ever seen in office. I'd take Nixon over him any day, and I'd rather eat razor blades and wash them down with rubbing alcohol before saying anything positive about Nixon.
Anyway, Rove loved them both. Rove's mentor in political handling was Lee Atwater, Reagan's Rove. Rove was screwed up when he got to Texas.

Most likely they came in the '80s when the Rust Belt emptied out into the Sun Belt. Lots of greed and "small govermint" action was flying around then, and Texas seems to have become more and more of a shithole ever since.

Just kidding. But if you live in Texas I think you are a Texan no matter where you came from. Are you trying to disqualify Bush? Remember, I posted this in the lounge because I knew I was asking a facetious question and I am simply royally pissed off tonight and quitting the project that I have worked extremely hard on for the last 2 years because of some assholes that just happen to be from Texas and act like Rove. Just blowing off steam in the lounge.

To be a Texan means you have to be at least born here, if not 2nd generation.
As for Bush, he is a Connecticut cowboy, a yankee wearing cowboys boots.
What you said even in blowing off steam wasn't nice, and I would never say such a thing about people from any other state.
I am tired of Texas being dumped on, it wasn't the state of Texas that put the Bush family in the White House.
Bush's father was Vice-President under Ronald Reagan, and we all know who was the real President for all those years.
I am sorry that you are having problems at work but deal with them as people, not people from Texas.
