Ever notice... everyone's an expert |

There's a woman I see at the gym every day. She's very nice. She's usually getting dressed just as I'm hitting the showers and today was no exception. She uses a vanity that is near the scale.
I got on the scale. I'm down a pound from 2 weeks ago. OK. that's terrific, and I said so.
She said, "how's your eating? Do you eat big in the morning, like a king, and light at night?"
I'm sure she has the best intentions.
I have a small tummy. I eat little meals/snack all through the day. Last night, knowing full well that I was going for a run early this morning, I ate pasta. I "carbed-up".
What works for one does not work for all. Yes, she looks great. She's got what works for her down to a science.
I eat carbs the night before a run. That works for me.

no, it's not a marathon. But keep in mind that when I have a serving of pasta, it's a small serving. So it's not like I ate 3 big pasta bowls full of spaghetti.
I do think I could have been more healthful about it by choosing whole wheat pasta, which would have helped my metabolism work harder.
I don't run every day. My doctor doesn't want me to.
I do need to lose even more weight than I have, and being at the gym 5 days a week is part of that effort.
I am perfectly happy losing .5 lbs. per week. That's 26 lbs. in a year.
So... small, manageable changes that can be sustained.
And yeah, pasta at night every once in a while.

I especially notice whenever I launch any kind of ad or awareness marketing campaign. Even though I have been a marketing director for fifteen years and have been very successful, my co-workers and colleagues know WAY more about advertising and marketing than I do and never hesitate to say so.
Congrats on losing the two lbs. I am trying very hard in that dept. too.
