4. Here's what ya do.....

Build a tripod over the hole. Go down to home depot and buy a good pulley. Thread the rope attached to the hose through the pulley and tie the rope to your vehicle. Slowly pull the rope, that out to pull your hose out. Oh, wait a minute, we are talking about a well hose puller, right?

I have a garden hose inside a box. The box has a foot-controlled lever that rewinds the hose after I pull it out. It also has a lever, so now I have to pull my own hose.
