But Ashton Kutcher and Math problems don't go together to well in song lyrics, I find. A better one would be "flunked her"...
As in...
She was such a pretty student
But at math she had no skill
She could not complete one functor
So eventually I flunked her
At the time it seemed quite prudent
But alas I love her still
