Got a tryout for a "support the troops" job tomorrow
This is what the guy makes:

Not the vehicle (a Grizzly MRAP)...but the "paint job."

This vehicle isn't painted camouflage. It's wrapped in printed vinyl.

There's a little company based at the Lumberton, NC, airport that was doing advertising wraps for different companies, and making the billboards along part of I-95. Then Bush started the war, and they created a program that generates camouflage wraps for different vehicles. He gave one to a battalion commander he knows, the battalion commander worked it up the chain, and now he prints a LOT of these. He's still doing the commercial work, too.

My job will be to run the three--soon to be four--printers that generate the wrap vinyl. One printer is (IIRC) either six or eight feet wide, two are 12 feet wide and the new one is 25 feet wide. (Before anyone asks: you DON'T change the ink cartridges on a printer like this. There are gallon jugs of ink hanging off the back with hoses running up to the printheads.) It pays better than The Home Depot, they only deal with professionals and there's a lot less walking involved. And I already know how to do this.

Wish me luck...
