2. They invented the world's first indoor amusement park.
"The World of Sid and Marty Krofft" was in the Omni center in Atlanta, and was a four-story indoor amusement park, including rides such as a pinball ride in which the guests careened around in pinballs. Sadly the park suffered from poor attendance and was open for only 6 months in 1976. The building is now the CNN Center.

Frank Zappa was one of the weirdest people in the world, and he eschewed drugs and alcohol during his most creative period in the late 60s-early 70s.

Also, a lot of the strangest artists I've known who create the most surreal stuff are completely clean and sober.

People that wacked out don't need drugs. Their own minds are strange enough.
