MS office products experts; Office xp Vs Office 2007? |
|
I have office xp now, is there any advantage to an upgrade to office 2007? I can get a copy through our employee discount program for somewhere around 30 dollars. Is it worth upgrading?

Do you really need anything more to slow your computer down? :)

3. Do you have a newer box? |
|
At $30 you might as well keep with the curve and get 2007, even with their updated interface. I expect to do so eventually but I have Office 2003 right now.

4. 2007, in a heartbeat, especially for $30. Here's why: |
|
I had Office 2000 Developer - I saw nothing in Office 2002 (XP) or 2003 that was anything near compelling. Not for the prices...
Office 2007's new menu layout combined with real time previews of paragraph and font changes, increased # of rows in Excel, and a slew of other USEFUL features makes it worth its price. Heck, even the real time grammar and spell check features were amended...
And I don't often praise Microsoft, but Office 2007 really is worth the upgrade.
