1. God, I loved those Irwin Allen shows
I just heard that Land of the Giants is coming out on DVD now.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9_9weSfasI

The intros to those shows were great, what with all the animation and the exciting John Williams music. They don't make TV like that anymore. (Which I think is a shame. These shows made for great kid viewing.)

10. I was just going to tell you that when I saw your subject line!
but then I read your whole post. Too bad they don't have a mini DVD format they could release "Land of the Giants" on :)

15. I'm surprised you didn't post in my 'Streets of San Francisco' thread.

...considering your username! I also posted the intro to "The Rookies."

BTW, I have all The Move's stuff on CD, all of that group that Jeff Lynne was in before that on CD, and all the ELO reissues with the bonus tracks on them on CD. How's that for being a completist?

The limited edition German-issued version of "Out of the Blue" is definitely worth getting. Big booklet and it reproduces the cardboard stand-up spaceship in miniature that came with the original album. (I had completely forgotten about it!)

It's so outrageously funny!

7. But...
Had the Robinsons any brains at all, they would have had Dr Smith clean out an airlock, while out in space. ;-)

14. It's my favorite opening, music mostly.
But not the season itself. I still like the first "serious science fiction" season best.
