What's the going rate for tooth fairies these days?
It's been 34 years or so since I lost teeth, and my 4 1/2 year old daughter lost her first last night.

1. I used to get $.25. That was in the early '80s. Adjust for inflation and you're probably close.

4. We give our son a dollar for clean teeth
and a nickel for teeth with plaque and/or tartar on them. He brushes his teeth religiously now. ;)

5. We gave our goddaughters 2 Swiss francs per tooth, which is $1.67.
So I suggest you give your little one $1.67. :hi:

6. 4 shiny quarters in this house. One of our friends puts some food coloring into the water glass
where the tooth is kept. Then she says that the tooth fairy dipped her wings into the water to get the tooth and her wings dyed the water.

We don't do that because I have 5 kids and I'm always afraid I'm going to get busted.

10. They're worth more if they're not filled with lead, mercury, or any other filling compound...
Unless it's gold... but they've not used gold since 1847...
