Anyone else counting the minutes till 8:05?

(Curt is a right-wing SCHILL -- haha! -- but i still hope he kicks the stuffing out of the Rocket and the YANKS!)

3. YO!
I'm feeling much better about things now, but Friday's fiasco was a trial.:banghead:
I think I'll watch the football game primarily - I think the Sox may just hold their lead regardless of tonight's outcome.
I'll have to check in though - as it's likely Roger's last time at the Fens, and maybe last appearance period - his injury doesn't sound good...

16. re: Jacoby
I was distracted off and on during the game of the week, but I think they said Jacoby is a Navajo, and the first ever in the majors . (did I get all that right?) Pretty cool if true. A large part of the Navajo nation is in New Mexico (although they said he's from Arizona, the larger portion of the Navajo nation ) and I hope he turns out to be as good as it looks like he is. Another Navajo guy who's done well in pro sports is the golfer Notah Begay (Begay is an extremely common Navajo last name ). An urban Navajo,(from here in Albuquerque) and he was Tiger Woods' roommate at Stanford.............. Just checked in on CBS sportsline, Yanks and Red Sox 1 to 1 in the 7th...C'mon Red Sox.

17. i thought i heard that too
Confirmation from Wikipedia: Jacoby is officially registered as a member of the Colorado River Indian Tribes <2> and is the first Native American of Navajo descent to reach the Majors. <3> (The ref is an mlb.com article.)

Getting scary in the 8th... :scared:

13. As a Cub fan
all my wretched god forsaken existence, I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the Bosox, on top of being a Yankee hater. Enjoyed yesterday's game (on Fox, but hey, its baseball).Been to Boston only once, in '86. Tried to get scalper tickets for a Friday night (Oil Can) and Saturday afternoon (Clemens) on Labor Day weekend; me and my buddy had $ , but not a ticket to be had.

14. We can feel your pain.
The one thing I don't want to see is a Cubs-Red Sox World Series. It would be great, and I'd still root for the Sox, but I wouldn't feel good about it...Get one under your belt, then we'll go!

15. there's definitely a kinship between Sox and Cubs fans
I am totally rooting for the Cubs to win a World Series -- i'll cheer for them as long as they're playing anyone but the Sox! :-)
