1. We've never had to remove the fixtures to get flooring estimates. |
|
Sorry about your shoulder. Those items are heavy as fuck-all.

I tend to need to do projects RIGHT NOW, too. Of course the husband just shrugs and says "go ahead" and heads off to his own thing

4. Women, in general, just suck. |

Is that the answer you were seeking?
I think it's silly to take a single pet peeve you have of your wife and project it on an entire gender.
Bummer you're hurting - hope you feel better soon.

Good thing, cause the SO would tell me if it's that damn important that it be done right now, I know where the toolbox is and I'm welcome to have at it.
Sorry you're having a Pain Emergency to boot.

6. ALL of us aren't like that. |
|
My husband's back hurt today so I drove all the way home (6+ hours) and he is in bed watching TV. I unloaded everything from the car. I would never spring something like that on him.
I'm sorry your wife decided to dump on you today - but don't blame all women. I have no idea what her problem was.
:hi:
Sorry you feel bad. :(

7. I really don't know, Redstone, but I'm very sorry this all happened to you. |
|
My mother is one of those people who wants something done immediately, not necessarily because it HAS to be done but because it makes her feel better to see something being done and also because I think she fears that it won't get done if she doesn't stay on my back/my father's back. Sometimes she has good reason to do this--my father and I are notorious procrastinators, though it usually gets done anyway--but sometimes she gets a little ridiculous about it, and we have to remind her to cool down.
I don't know what the specifics of your situation are, and whether or not you have a "reputation" for not following through on things, but as I said, I'm really sorry you had to do all this, and I, too, as a female, don't get what's up with other women sometimes.

8. Why on earth would you need to remove the fixtures? |

I'm a woman, and I don't get it either.

I do it myself.
Women are individuals. Not all the same.

But really, if they actually asked to have those fixtures removed for an estimate, find another contractor! Seriesly!
