Suppose people could fly

Suppose people could fly only if they were naked? Would that change society's attitude toward nudity? Or would flying be frowned on as something unnatural, something that eroded the core values of our nation's families? Children would discover they could fly, perhaps in the time after a bath and would have to be reined in and admonished by the parents. "No flying in the house! Now get dressed!" And the understanding would be that you wear clothes the entire time you are not in the house.

Eventually, social discouragement would stamp out public flying. Sure, there would be occasional hijinks in the locker room, and some people might find a way to do it in private. There would be some brave few who would fly in the service of our country, very top secret--"When you arrive, your contact will have a suit of clothes for you"--and public protests for the right to fly at places like Berkeley. Nudist colonies and naturist preserves would surge in popularity as people 'addicted' to flying sought a safe haven. And the unspoken code of conduct would permit flying at nude beaches and remote unpatrolled natural areas. In our National Parks, flying would be officially prohibited, but in most cases rangers would not prosecute for isolated incidents of discreet flying.
