God I hate it when cats pull disappearing acts.
I was up all night, fretting, tossing and turning because I couldn't find Morrison before I went to bed. I looked EVERYwhere for him.I started to fill the cats' food dishes this morning and he materialized. I am glad he's ok, but now I am going to be exhausted because I worried about him all night. :-(

5. He's an indoor kitty

4. The strangest one was when...
Sebastion disappeared for two days. Checked all his favorite hiding spots, and afew others and finally gave up-- he nmust have found a way outside. Living in the city, that would be the end of him.

So, while I was morosely musing about his fate, I leaned back in the Laz-E-Boy, and who should come flying out from underneath...?

TWO WHOLE DAYS that little asshole sat under there without one lousy meow!

8. Been there!
A few years back Brianna went Elvis for a day and a half. I wandered around the neighborhood looking for her, to no avail, and was a wreck. When I got home, I sat down and sent a glum email to my sister talking about the situation. Just as I hit the "send button", you-know-who jumps through the open window next to my desk, with a jaunty little chirp.

Covered in a layer of black soot.

To this day, I have no idea what that was all about. Either she wandered into somebody's cellar or she briefly took up a career as a chimney sweep.

9. Both of mine have gone for two or three days at a stretch.
Then they showed up hungry. They didn't even have the courtesy to tell me where they had been.

I adopted another cat, thinking Leon was gone for good. Four days after I officially adopted Shamu, who should show up at the back door, but Leon the travelin' man. I would love to know where he was all that time.

12. Once again, my roommate heard him crying outside
I am hearing impaired and can't hear anything that goes on outside. I wish he wouldn't do this, I worry so...I am just glad my roommate was able to let him in.

13. I've been there. Oh how I hate it when they do this.
The last time I was wandering around in the woods next to my apartment complex in the rain in the middle of the night and I lost my cell phone while squeezing through some bushes and my shoes got all wet and my feet were cold and I could see Whiskers occasionally in the moonlight, standing on boulders and things, and he'd glance in my direction periodically and then disappear again.

He came home later that night, all bitten up on his hindquarters, and ended up with an abscess.

14. My cat does this
All I have to do is open up the cabinet where his treats are kept and he'll appear out of nowhere within about four seconds.

If he doesn't, I check closets.

19. My cat Nico did that the other day.
We looked everywhere, called her name, even shook the treat can. About thirty minutes later she appeared. I wonder where it is they go?
