Why ticket brokers can bite me: |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-17-07 10:27 AM by bbernardini
From the Miami Herald story about the upcoming Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus show:
"Now desperate parents are at the mercy of brokers, who are already advertising on their websites that they've got the goods. The going rate on Saturday afternoon, according to several websites ranged from $65 to $3,700. The face value of the tickets ranges from $26 to $66.
For $15,860, Gotickets.com is offering a luxury suite that seats 20 people."
And I don't even have a kid old enough to attend such a show. My wife won't let me take him with us to see Genesis tomorrow night, either. :)

1. does your child like Capt. Beefheart yet? |
|
;) That's what we raised ours on... and other weird alternative music.
I never got into the "kid-friendly" bands, alas. Now my kid is too old for em, thank god, but likes Wolfmother. Oh well.

2. And morans feed this by buying them |
|
Because their kid "just has" to see the show. It's the same spirit that drives people to trample each other for Tickle Me Elmo or the latest fad that becomes THE holiday gift. :eyes:
If people had the guts to just say no to their kids, shit like that wouldn't have a chance of succeeding.
