If they're good they play Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Gene Autry, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson and MAYBE Dwight Yokham on the speakers.

If they suck, they play Lee Greenwood and Toby Keith.

Texans, am I right?

1. A REALLY good joint plays no music. Nothing to distract the senses.
:D

2. Interesting - Salt Lick had no music that I could hear
They did let you bring your own beer though - in fact they ENCOURAGED it.

3. I don't recall music at any BBQ place I've eaten at.
However, I am usually distracted by roast beast so I really am not paying attention.

4. If you want music with your barbecue,
go to Artz in Austin. There are usually a bunch of guys getting together in the back room to jam together. Otherwise, no music-there's usually too much BSing going on at the tables to enjoy it, anyway.
