The BlueIris Semi-Nightly Poem Thread, 9/18/07 Bonus |
|
Nights like these when I fumble and my notes turn sour and anything would turn to ashes in my arms are when I get lost in nights long gone when I was so high I thought your skull was the sun and we kissed wild halfway over the bridge and I know no one's gonna stop the car to dance slow with me again.

2. And this is one of my ancient "written by someone who was 16 at the time" poems. |

Those crazy kids. They really know how to break your heart.

Yup...
If her other poems are that good then Paula Cisewski is definitely talented.

4. Don't know if she still writes. I'll have to see if I can find anything else by this person. |

I found this poem on the "Stuff You Wrote" in the teen magazine "Sassy" in 1994.

Thanks. I thought I would be mocked for this--especially after I admitted that it was written by a teenager.

8. its hard to beat teen angst |
|
it is a raw, true emotion. yes, a teenager without talent can become morose and maudlin and sappy with sentimentality. but, so can any age ...
when a person gets it right i don't care about their age.
