World's Oldest Man Turns 112
TOKYO (AP) - The world's oldest man celebrated his 112th birthday Tuesday, saying he hoped to live forever.

Born Sept. 18, 1895, Tomoji Tanabe was named world's oldest male after the death of Emiliano Mercado Del Toro of Puerto Rico. He died in January at age 115.

On Tuesday, the mayor of Miyakonojo City, where Tanabe lives, presented him with a bouquet and a letter of congratulations.

When the mayor asked how many more years Tanabe wanted to live, Tanabe replied, "for infinity," according to city official Yasuo Yamashita.

With his ascetic lifestyle, Tanabe has a good shot at living for at least a little longer.

2. I hope my both of my Grandparents live to be 100
My 86-year-old Grandfather still goes to the grocery, dairy queen and church. My 81-year-old Grandmother does crosswords from both of the dailies we get here in Denver. They both ride the exercise bike for a half hour every day.

4. I only have one grandparent left
and she turned 81 last week. I hope she has many more years left as long as she's healthy. She survived cancer twice.

5. Damn!
Last Feb. my Grandfather took a nasty fall in the alley. My Grandmother spent every minute of visiting ours with him in the hospital/rehab. That is like 12 hours a day! She brought along her crosswords and newspapers and watched the Price is Right, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,Little House, etc. with my Grandfather. She sure is something, and dedicated!! Other than their aches and pains that they have to endure with getting old, they are doing fine. They are sharp witted and move around pretty good! (Thanks Percocet!)
