recent additions to your vocabulary?
Here's mine as defined by wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iatrogenic_disorder

Iatrogenic

Generically, an iatrogenic disorder is any pathological anomaly in which the dysfunctional symptoms in the patient owe their cause (iatrogenesis) to the actions of the practitioner. Medical doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, or any other therapist can be considered a practitioner when deciding whether a disorder is iatrogenic.

1. Hizzy.
I think, tho I am not sure, that it means "house" in Ebonics. I was mystified by Jim Ward's Kim Jong Il on Stephanie Miller's show using the term (altho it was hilarious to hear him say it). Then I googled it. I don't think I'll use it too much tho.

24. Yes, I think it's most commonly "in the hizzy."
Of course, language is always evolving, or at least English is. When you google it you find variations. Maybe once white people started using it, it morphed into something else.

9. true dat
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taser

The name Taser is an acronym for "Thomas A. Swift's Electric Rifle"<5>.
Arizona inventor Jack Cover designed it in 1969; naming it for the science
fiction teenage inventor and adventurer character Tom Swift.

5. Consanguinity.

It's a word that I probably could have figured out from looking at it, but I'd not had occasion to use it until taking Trusts & Estates.

15. You're close.
You've got the root pretty well -- but it really refers to blood relatives, period. If you can find a common ancestor between any two people, no matter how far back, there's consanguinity. (Adoptions count even though there's technically no blood relation.) Of course, beyond a few degrees it doesn't matter -- many states stop counting (for the purpose of inheritance) at your grandparents' or great-grandparents' descendants, for instance.

http://www.righthandthief.blogspot.com

On behalf of New Orleans...
I want to thank D at Lawyers, Guns and Money for this post. Perhaps the "doomed" citizens of New Orleans could donate a recognizable sum to Confederate Yankee (say $.66) so he can begin rebuilding his life after the remnants of Hurricane Humberto, which struck TX and LA,
overturned his grill in South Carolina. Holy smokes, a fallen grill! Naturally, the "Confederate" wasted no time before he began complaining about his "weather woes", and holding out the tin cup.

What a complete douchemook.

I got pseudo Rickrolled last time I was at the grocery store. As soon as I got in there, Rick Astly came on over the speakers.
