3. how do the Yankees do it

for the past few years now they start the season off horribly and everybody's saying they won't make the playoffs, torre is gonna get fired, etc but they always end up doing well at the end.

The Yankees did not win a world series in the 8 years of Nixon / Ford in office.

The last time the Yanks won a world series with a Republican in office happened in 1958 with Eisenhower in Office when the Yanks defeated the Milwaukee Braves 4 games to 3.

Since 1961 The Yanks have won world series only when a Democrat held the White House.

Now that appears a coincidence.
