Is this the most lame-assed question a "journalist" can ask or what?
Woman loses 3 of her 4 kids in a fire - "How do you feel?"
Guy just gets rescued from a collapsed bridge - "How do you feel?"
30 people are dead in a shooting spree - a survivor is asked, "How do you feel?"
How the fuck do you think they feel, asshole? If you're going to get in someone's face with a camera and microphone, at least have the class to ask a real question!

1. Or better yet, leave them alone and let them grieve. |

I developed a severe hatred for the media when the Challenger exploded - remember how the cameras just zoomed into the faces of Christa McAuliffe's parents and stayed there? And we all got to watch on national tv - over and over again - as the realization dawned on them that their daughter had just gone up in smoke. :grr:
I thought it was horribly insensitive then and I still think so.

2. They're selling emotional reactions, sensations, not information. |
