Do you like sushi & eat it regularly? I'm a new convert
and I'm wondering what your favorite kind of sushi is, and any sushi details.

I know this sounds like a goofy question, but there it is anyway. :hi:

1. My favorite is eel, either roll or sushi
But I also love salmon and tuna. With rolls I like cucumber or scallion, not avacado.

My favorite thing about sushi is the wasabi. Sometimes you get a large amount and it just goes right up into your head like a crazy rush.

3. Yes, the wasabi can hurt if I'm not careful.
But in the right amount it's yummy.

2. yes and yes
My regular favorites are salmon and tuna, in the form of nigiri and sashimi.

Escolar nigiri is another favorite but you can't eat too much of that at one time. I not super big into rolls, but when I get one it is usually spicy tuna roll, or maybe a dragon roll for dessert.

4. Thanks.
Over time, I'm trying to sample different kinds so I know what I like.

I've had some spicy tuna rolls and they were delish.

7. mmmmm spicy tuna *drooool*
I love sushi, I'm too cheap to have it very often but I love love love it :loveya:
I figured out years after I started eating it that the purpose of the ginger slices is to 'cleanse the pallet' between different kinds of fish. Maybe that's a myth though, not real sushi wisdom, but it makes more sense. And make sure you don't inhale that hot green stuff :o

16. I eat the rest of the ginger at the end as a digestive aid.
Really settles the stomach; and it's good for you too.

I love the stuff. :9

My faves are either eel or salmon. The crunch crab rolls can be good too. I occasionally eat sashimi too.

Hell, it's fun to go try something I've never tried before. :D I've never been crazy about octopus though, it's just chewy, rubbery even, and not much flavor. Abalone is good.

12. Oh yes, I love sushi and eat it as often as I can
I like a fair variety, tuna, salmon, hamachi (yellowtail), shrimp and eel. If you haven't tried eel yet, you owe it to yourself to try a couple pieces of it.

17. Introduced to it when I was 26 and have been an addict ever since.
I do like rolls better than sashimi. There is a roll made around here called the MPD that is fantastic, but I couldn't tell you what is in it. I prefer shrimp, crab, scallop and salmon, but spicy tuna is a fave too.

Best sushi I've ever had was actually at the hotel bar at the Lowe's Royal Pacific at Universal Studios Florida. Go figure.
