I just watched CSI:NY completely jump the shark.
Wow.

Did you guys see this show? Some Irish guys took over the CSI building for their drugs and guns. It was basically Die Hard: CSI with Vengeance.

BAD BAD BAD.

And the end....when the Sinise character walks out of the lab like a big beefcake, then curly haired girl asks them where he is going.

Beefcake turns around and say...."London"....*cringe*

9. I think what really makes it hilarious is the Pete Townsend "YEEEEEEEAH!!!"
After every horrible one liner. It's like clockwork:

Caruso: "terrible pun/faux noir oneliner"

Caruso: *puts on shades*

Townsend: "YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH"

It's almost a parody.

I didn't think anyone actually said "tomahto," wow.

21. OMG I *LOVE* that movie
It is my favorite horror movie I think because insane asylums are my big giant #1 guaranteed freakout. :scared:

I actually lived in Boston last summer and really wanted to take a day trip to Danvers, MA where the asylum in the movie was located (yes it was actually filmed in an old abandoned asylum) but the state tore it down right before I got there. I love freaking myself out like that.

25. For a similar themed good freakout you should read Dennis Lehane's "Shutter Island"
Most disturbing book I've ever read in my life (in a good seat-of-your-pants kind of way), and a mindfuck to boot...

31. Mathematically speaking:
William Shatner (the pauses) + Jonathan Frakes (the head tilting) = David Caruso.

35. That's the funniest thing I've seen today
Since I don't watch the show I didn't know exactly how horrible an actor Caruso is, yet the dialog and acting in that montage was so hilariously awful I (almost) couldn't stop watching it!

2. I never really understood what people see in those CSI shows
They are so god-awful hammy that I can barely stand it.

And William Peterson is the WORST.

3. Well, I don't watch them very often.
I don't even know the character names. Whats worse is I'm a biologist that trying to be a forensic scientist, and the inaccuracies (lab people carrying guns????) drives me up the wall.

I've only seen this CSI twice...maybe it already jumped the shark, I don't know...but that episode was terrible. Which sucks, because I like Gary Sinise.

29. I always liked the NY version a bit more because it was a little grittier
and it seemed to avoid the "Perils of Pauline" storylines that CSI Vegas and CSI Miami were turning towards with the principal characters. Looks like they took that leap with this episode.

The original still has some moments but CSI Miami has completely devolved into nothing more than a glossy T&A program. My wife and I will occasionally watch it just to see how many times they set up a cleavage shot on one of the two primary female characters. I think we hit double digits on one occasion before the show hit the 30 minute mark.

With a giant sledgehammer?

Something about that character just rubs me the wrong way.

17. Lol..it would have been funny if Sinise had glass stuck in his foot.
I mean, they copied that shattering glass, the body in the elevator with a sign on it, and the exploding building. The only thing it was missing was Gary Sinise yelling out Yipee Ki Yay.

20. The worst was CSI: Miami and the tsunami hitting Miami.
It starts off with Caruso and buds going around CSIng, then the next thing you know there is a 500 foot wave pummeling the city. It was tacky considering it came on the heels of the real tsunami that killed 100,000+ people

32. I avoid CSI: Miami and NY like the plague
The original is pretty good... Jorja Fox notwithstanding.

Caruso is vomitous and Sinise, while a good actor, is a right-winger. Not sure to what degree, but I have a hard time appreciating the work of somone who I perceive as a bush-enabler.
