2. Not surprising at all.
Kelsey Grammer really needs a good supporting cast to upstage him and that's not going to happen with Patricia Heaton.

7. My son
begged me to let him watch it and I said "No right wing nut jobs on the TV... You CAN watch it in your room but you will have nightmares."

I won.

He is still innocent.

3. Pilots have a huge problem....

They have to introduce characters, set the premise etc. I'll give it a couple of more shots. even if both Heaton and Grammer are Repukes.

You know. i grew up in a house where certain things were fordbidden due to the actors, musicians etc and their political beliefs. I thought that was awfully closed minded, so I don't do that.

12. I generally don't care about actors' politics
Edited on Thu Sep-20-07 12:00 AM by fujiyama
but at some point, it's hard to even watch them without thinking "this person's a freakin nutjob". The same thing happened to me with Tom Cruise. I just keep thinking "this guy's a douchebag" everytime I see him on TV or in a movie, and fail to take the plot seriously. I think a similar thing happened with singers like Michael Jackson, who otherwise were talented, but whose personal lives made them look nuts (granted his songs later really started to suck).

Now each time I see Patricia Heaton I think of Schiavo and Jesus Christ on the trailer hitch and her being one of those freaks. A little distracting. And plus, I always hated her character in Raymond anyways. To Grammer's credit, I don't really view him as especially political, maybe because he hasn't made a complete idiot out of himself. Then again, he did give money to Giulliani....but I found Frasier to be a pretty funny show, but as another poster said, he had a strong supporting cast in that show.

13. Frasier might have been the last funny show on TV......
I loved that show. I DVR it every night. even the ones taht aare somewhat funny now, Office, Earl and...????? are not as consistently funny as Frasier was.

14. the supporting cast was funny to me
Frazier was a one trick pony who read lines fed to him.

6. Faux will look at it tomorrow's ratings
and see it's a SUCCESS smash as long as there's _1_ person watching that crap.

Hope they spend millions on that crap.

10. Even if it becomes a good show
It'll be canceled like all the other good Fox shows (Titus, Family Guy, Arrested Development)
