The difference between a girl football fan and a guy football fan
I look at Chad Pennington and I see an overachieving hero with the heart of a lion, who beat all the odds and naysayers, came back from two devasting injuries to lead his team to the unlikliest of playoff births. I see a NY sports hero in the traditon of Willis Reed, Phil Simms and Thurman Munson. I see a guy who's pulled himself off the carpet two times in the past two seasons, the first time electrifying the crowd, pumping his fist to assure them and his team he was all right. The second time, getting off the field by sheer force of his will in order to save his team a timeout only to hear cheers by his hometown crowd for his replacement to take the field.

I want Chad Pennington on the field because when I root for him and he succeeds it's a true underdog story - it's uplifting and exciting and that's what I want from watching a football game.

A bunch of guys in NY would rather see a 60 yard completion by a young QB with a rocket arm than watch a heartfelt drama unfold.

Is this because I'm a girl and they're guys? Or is it something else?

2. Who would you play in NY? Pennington or Clemens?

3. Clemens is that the youngsters name?
If so, then he looked dynamite throwing the football last sunday. If I were the Jets, I'd be starting that guy. Still doesn't take anything away from Pennington's guts, which should be admired.

4. I look at Chad Pennington...
...and I see an overrated QB fronting a mediocre excuse for a team.

Willis Reed, Phil Simms, and Thurman Munson all were part of championship clubs. Not so with Chad.

BTW, Thurman Munson couldn't carry Carlton Fisk's jockstrap!

5. If he were alive, he'd carry it with two world series rings on his finger
Speaking of people who never played on a championship club.
