Someone stole my hand cart!!
Edited on Thu Sep-20-07 05:26 PM by mycritters2
I used it to carry a bag of dog food from my garage to the house. Then I foolishly left it out overnight--okay, two nights. When I went to get it this morning, it was gone. I asked the church custodian if he'd borrowed it, asked my assistant, looked in the garage to make sure I hadn't put it back. Nope, it's gone. It was a gift from my dad, for carrying heavy things, since I don't have, you know, a man around. It was handy, too.

I feel pretty bad about having been so careless with it, but I mean, it was on my porch. I've looked at other possibilities, but no, someone has to have taken it.

So, irritating!

2. You know, that probably wouldn't have happened
in Iowa. Or Wisconsin. Or Minnesota.

Just sayin'.

Sorry to hear of the loss - people who steal shit are loosers. Hugh loosers.

4. That's half the problem
In Iowa, I left stuff out in my yard all the time, and no one bothered it at all. When you left stuff out on the curb HOPING people would take it, they'd come to the door to ask if it was okay. Lutheran 'Wegians were both too shy and too guilt-ridden to walk up on someone's porch and take something that wasn't theirs. There's something to be said for that.

I think of people who steal as more losers than loosers--but I suppose there's something loose about their morals. :)
