20. or Buffalo wings, for that matter |
|
the Bills won't be needing them as long as Losman is their QB, since they won't have any aerial attack :P

6. Vietnamese sandwiches! |
|
Is there a Vietnamese deli in your town? Go there. They have the BEST sandwiches -- get the roast pork, chicken, any of them.
I am a little obsessed with Vietnamese sandwiches right now..

A tasty array of hot stuff already made, and some cold food to accompany it!! Killer shrimp: if I can find the recipe I'll give it to you. Cold steak for sandwiches with Russian dressing and pepper. Onion rings from a drive-thru on the way there. Brie and Havarti and hard salami and slices of pumpernickel. Pickles, icy cold. Devilled eggs. Flan (okay, I'm out of control now).
*DROOL*!! :9 :toast: :loveya: :yourock: And a nice thermos of "iced tea"

16. You should be able to get one of those little propane grills cheap |
|
Or do you not want propane?
If I was going I would say ummm.. beer is good enough..lol.
You need to make a big bowl of fruit cut up soaked in vodka. It's refreshing and filled with booze.

a nice antipasto - a good dry salami, prosciutto, an assortment of cheeses, olives, peppers, pickled onions, marinated mushrooms, artichoke hearts and some good sourdough bread --- a big salad with a couple of dressing choices --- some good wine--- beer for the beer people --- and a knockout cheesecake ----

I got 3 this summer for outings. They were $3.99 each. Basically an aluminum tray with some brickets with a grill on top. They work really well.

30. And you can even get them cheaper than that. |
|
You can get the aluminum holder for the charcoal at the 99 cent store (don't get it too hot, or use two at a time, and be careful where you set it) and use a reusable grill top, like for camping. That might run you five bucks or so, but I've been using the same one for various things for 15 years. Less trash, too, and easier to find.

Pats v. Bills????? My husband would go into shock if he were able to go to another game. He used to have season tickets until we moved to Florida. Old stadium.
Okay.
Vegetarian (who will eat seafood from time to time) here so you'll probably balk at my ideas. BUT
I like wraps.
Hummus, tabouli, chopped tomato, and smoked salmon
lettuce, tuna, black olive, parmesan peppercorn dressing
Assorted cold salads are nice too. Potato salad, baked beans, three bean salad, pasta salad, cucumber/tomato salad....
I will be thinking of you on Sunday!

34. tortilla rollups, or any kind of interesting wrap style sandwich |
|
roll'em up, slice into pinwheels and lay out on trays
tortilla rollups:
12 " flour tortillas, soften in the microwave or warm skillet
mix together cream cheese and your favorite picante sauce or salsa, then you can also stir in minced black olives, xtra jalapeno peppers, green onion, shredded cheese etc. spread it all on the tortillas, roll them up like jelly rolls and slice into pinwheels
I find if I freeze them for about an hour they are much easier to slice.
you can just put anything in a wrap: grilled chicken, pork or steak, sliced thin and rolled with tomatoes, lettuce, onion, etc.
sausage cheese puffs; ham and biscuits,
raw veg and fruit for the dieters, deviled eggs.
