9. I rarely keep them in the cage. They have the run (fly?) of the house.
We've got 16-20" ceilings so they're in heaven. If I'd kept their wings clipped I could have trained them for perching on my finger but I'm more inclined to see them fly around the house and the screened patio enclosure. I love their chirping. I suppose it could annoy the daylights out of other people, but they choose their moments well. Great background noise. And I love to see them interact with one another. Despite their names, they are two females.

4. Here is my old lady Luna

She is 14, all the white on her muzzle is her gone grey, has lost most of her hearing, and yes, those are some fierce cataracts.

10. She is beagle + something...
She was my first baby - she was a rescue from a mill where she had been electrocuted and beaten. She's curled up on the couch with me right now - she can no longer jump on the bed and needs help in and out of the car - but she is the best.

Oh and about my daughter - Thank You!

I think she knows what she's got:

The boys have started calling the house already - we're talking 3rd grade :wow:

What did I get myself in to?

:nuke: :nuke:

11. Luna looks like she's been well cared for.
An old dog is a dog who's been loved enough to receive good care.
