Britney Spears Coming Dangerously Close To Losing Kids

After Britney Spears' shocking decision to party after a judge called her a habitual drug and alcohol user on Tuesday and ordered her to undergo random drug and alcohol testing, Star phoned John Schweitzer, an associate attorney with the Law Office of Nancy Stassinopoulos in San Diego, Calif., to see how close Brit is to losing her kids. "By going out like this she is really running the risk of losing custody of her kids," Schweitzer, who has never met Spears, says. "The judge is now going to watch very move she makes. The judge gets the newspaper like everyone else and he will take something like this into consideration until his final ruling is made."

Schweitzer also says there could be tough consequences if Brit defies the court orders, which also included not drinking 12 hours before seeing the children. "Some of the punishments could include holding her in contempt of court, which could result in a fine, imprisonment or both. Or, the judge give more visitation rights to the other parent, in this case Kevin, or, he can take the children away if he feels Britney is not focusing on the best interest of the children."

"If I were her lawyer I would tell her to lie low, stay in the house and spend time reading to her sons and doing arts and craft projects with them to enforce learning and bonding," Schweitzer advised.

Attorney Gloria Allred, who's on Brit's ex Kevin Federline's team, tells Star, "I think the court should have, for the good of the children and for Britney's best interest, removed the children and put them with their father until Britney can demonstrate she is not a habitual user. She can have visitation rights but if the courts removed the children from her home, I think she would have more of an incentive to get better."

fame and fortune, while she has both, and is pissing it all away as fast as she can. I don't care what kind of ass-backward upbringing she had; she's an adult now. Plenty of backwoods, but few swamps; it is across Lake Pontchartrain from New Orleans, and east of Baton Rouge. The area bears more resemblance to nearby Mississippi (many more pine trees than people) than it does to the Louisiana swamps, found mostly on the other side of the Mississippi River.

Aside: You just had to like Britney's response to Katrina. She found a bunch of Catholic school girls in suburban Metairie and took them shopping! :rofl:

I'm sure she loves her children but she does not want the responsibility of having them full time. She is way to immature and her behavior is indicative of it. She really changed her life dramatically by having two kids one right after another. I say she is suffering from PTSD. I hope she gets the proper help.

And why did she get divorced anyway?
