In your early 20's, how often did you change jobs?
Just wondering, I realized I might basically be burning through them.

1. Let's see.....
When I turned 20, that was 1998, going into 1999.

I was doing retail then, first OfficeMax, then Office Depot. Then I had a job at a sports website. Then a wrestling website. Then I worked at a newspaper. Then a hospital. Then retail. And now I'm doing what I do now, court reporting.

So that's, what, eight jobs I've had in my 20s.

Not counting the maintenance work I did when I was 18, and the two other retail jobs I had when I was 19.

3. Noodie, in your field you shouldn't worry about it, you're just getting your
resume rounded out to move to more National campaigns

5. that's ok, I like having a social life and no ulcers
These jobs are basically just interim until I get through with school. I'll grow up someday, I swear.

4. Only twice oddly in my 20s.
The past 10 years, I've burned through a lot of jobs and never seemed to have been satisified in any of them for more than 2-3 years. The longest one was 5 years. Is this typical for someone in their mid-40s?

6. Not very often actually...
Now, from 18 - 21, about 20 times. I joined the Navy at 21, and have been in ever since.

8. I had a different job each summer before and during college
After college, I had a couple of temp jobs before getting the permanet job that I held for five years until I got the one that I have now.

9. I only had two jobs throughout my early 20s.
Both lasted for about two and a half years. I'm 25 and I'm still at the second one.

10. A ridiculous number
but hey, they definitely weren't careers. Sometimes I'd get a job, work 2 weeks, realize I hated it, and quit. Sometimes I worked 2 jobs, just depended on if they interfered with other things I wanted to do.

11. I didn't but I wouldn't worry about it if I were you
If you're in school, its to be expected and probably won't be held against you.

14. Hmm. Let's see
Two part time jobs. Four temp assignments. Three full time jobs.

I guess I burned through a few before becoming a fixture with my current employer.

17. got out Marines at 22, had a temp job for 5 or so months, got another job till I was 27
so, not that much

I did bounce around jobs in college in my late 20s early 30s though, but they were campus jobs and again, apart from leaving a retail job for the first one of those, they pretty much don't count IMO

19. To the best of my recollection, I had 7 jobs between the ages of 20 and 30.
Even now, a geological epoch later, the longest I've worked at the same job is a little over 7 years, which is the job I have now.
