8. Unless you have gained a significant amount of weight since you last |
|
posted a recent photo, you are NOT fat. And you'd be sexy if you weighed 987 pounds.

7. Don't even mention Christmas to me! |
|
Nope, Halloween is my holiday. I don't even acknowledge Christmas. No music, no tree, no decorations, no gifts, no packages, boxes or bags. Call me the Grinch.
But Halloween is fun. :bounce:

11. Did you buy any real pumpkins, squash, or gourds? |
|
I ask because I wanted to today but then remembered that they'd be around for more than a month at this point.
Besides, I refuse to get ready for Halloween before my birthday - Sunday, Sept. 23 - official start of Fall!

13. Nope, just a bunch of crazy decorations |
|
We do a haunted forest thing every year down our long, wooded driveway. I found a bunch of really cool rubber bats - some big ones with outstretched wings and some smaller ones with folded wings - and a very nice severed ghoul head.
I also got stuff for our ghoul barbecue - condiment containers, an apron, some body parts to put on the grill.
We're going to decorate this weekend because I start school next Monday and I'll have a Saturday class plus I work on Sundays so its the last chance we've got since the SO works all week.
Have a great birthday! :hi:

I scored big-time - can't wait to get it all set up. In addition to the stuff mentioned above, we have a whole cemetery set-up complete with a cool wrought-iron fence that my SO picked up from a job he was on, a skeleton that we typically hang over the driveway from a noose, multiple giant spiders and rats, some screaming faces that go off when anyone walks or drives by and some cool glowing eyeballs.
I love Halloween. :bounce:

16. We get NO trick-or-treaters |
|
Zero. Zilch. Nada. In addition, you can't even see our stuff from the road. We do it all for ourselves and for the 5 other tenants who share the driveway.

That would be so much fun - we love to get creative and come up with new ideas every year. I'd love to design a haunted house - that would be a ball!

We had some great stuff, too — like the Operating Room. We built one of those tables that make it look like you're sawing someone in half, and one of the guys had the idea to get raw meat and throw it around to look like guts. After a few days, the smell was unbearable.
The maze was pitch dark, and we did stuff like hang fishing line from the roof of it to feel like you're walking into spider webs and putting tires under a false floor and telling people they were walking over dead bodies. And of course we had "jumpouts," where a door or window would suddenly open and some scary dude would leap out and go "BWAAAHHHH!"
The best idea I came up with was the Claustrophobia Room. There was nothing there — just an 8-by-16-foot space. But the back wall was hung on tracks, and on a signal a couple guys behind it would suddenly PUSH it toward the people, with a strobe light flashing.
Oh, the screams that came outa there.
