Huge Book Purchase... Are you Jealous?
If you like Poetry, and you collect Poetry Books, then you may appreciate this.

I bought over 1000 books from a business owner down the street from my bookstore.

In addition to these books, she THREW IN FOR FREE over 400 volumes of poetry. OMFG!

Can you say FIRST EDITIONs and RARE books of poetry, prose, bios and criticism.

I couldn't sleep last night going thru box after box of treasures. :D

and the 1000 books? Wow! So much cool stuff I may have to keep a lot of it.

Rare books on Blues and jazz. Erotica. Fiction. Beat writers. Art books. Sso so much more.

So tell me. A little jealous? Wanna come by and open boxes with me?

:hi:

RL

p.s. and she has a 1000 more I passed on for now...

Glancing at my shelf, I know I could give you On the Road and Fortunate Son (Bush). There's some others, but I'll have to check.

You should sign up for Library Thing http://www.librarything.com/ (if you haven't) it's a cool way to catalog and keep track of what you have. It helped me when I was on trips, I could look and see if I had titles so I'd know not to get another copy. It will take you a while to enter all that! :o

61. And just THINK of the personal scribblings inside some of them.
The notes and pictures people have stuck in them as bookmarks or keepsakes. Have you found anything like that yet? It's the true voyeur in me who most understands and appreciates such items.

I like to go into antique stores and find old ads and letters tucked into the books. I put them back for the next person to discover.
