WOOHOO - Chequers is home!!
That's my car. For those of you who have not been following the story, Chequers spent almost two weeks in hospital for damage from contaminated gas purchased at a local Texaco. I'm happy to report that the little car is good as new and back home in our garage!

3. Thanks!
Generally car repairs are a pain - I have so much feeling for this little car, and I just hated to have him (yes, him!) damaged. Maybe I'm crazy. I think MINI owners feel that way about their little cars.

2. Is the gas station accepting responsibility?

4. Yes, he admitted there was water in the gas
I have a sample of it if I ever need it for evidentiary purposes. It's very dilute, with black and white chunks floating in it. My insurance company has paid us, and the process of subrogation has begun.

5. So hopefully you won't have to pay anything for the repairs.
BTW, my oldest sister has a red and white Mini, and even in the back seat, I'm comfortable.
(I'm 6 feet tall.)

I tried sitting in my late uncle's H2 Hummer when he visited us, and in teh driver's seat I felt squashed.

But I cracked my dad up and infuriated my uncle by asking him, "Hank, by buying this, aren't you compensating for something?"

6. I'm happy to see that my nephew is safe and sound and back from
summer camp.

:P

He could have, at the very least, sent his Auntie a postcard.
