True story from Chico California. (Subtitle: it CAN happen here!)

I was wandering around downtown Chico looking for a place to eat that was open. Downtown Chico has a brazilian restaurants, but all of them were closed at 3 this afternoon.

I stopped a local and asked her where to go.

She said "Oh, all the restaurants are over on the 20. Red Lobster, Outback Steakhouse, OLIVE GARDEN... You should go over there if you're looking for a place to eat."

Within 5 minutes I found a cool little burger place where I had a veggie burger with mushrooms and swiss along with some kickass homemade fries and a Newcastle.

Good times.

But just be aware: those people are out there! :scared:

2. Aha! She said "THE" 20. She was obviously from Southern California.

Either that, or all the rantings about that particular locution are just bullshit, which is what I always suspected.

On the other side of the highway from the chains. Incredible food and the best beer in the universe.
