I miss the 90s.
I don't know why, but it felt like a far better decade than what we're in now. Music was good, TV was good, economy was good. Now it's the exact opposite. Lame.

:(

1. And Clinton was President.
This decade has sucked the big one, under Bush.

4. What's there to miss about the '90s'
Besides the peace and prosperity, having a good President in the White House, good music, good TV, the happiest years of my life, my mother, two grandmothers and uncle still being alive -as were my two grandfathers during some of the decade

In other words...yeah I miss the '90s' as well. BIG TIME

6. I hear ya'.
1990s were the perfect decade for me growing up. Everything just seemed to be right in the world. Then by 1999 things started turning south. Bush was elected, 9-11 happened, the economy went south, I graduated high school, my grandparents died, my mom became sick and now I'm sitting on a message board at 12:30 in the morning pining for a decade that ended nearly 10 years ago. :(

I still remember the 2000 celebration. So much hope and he we are, coming up to 2010 and much of that has been lost.

7. For real.
I graduated high school '99. It seems common for people to disdain their high school experiences, but I had a great fuckin' time. Nothing but fond memories of the 90's.

Small caveat: the 90's started out a little rough music-wise - the 80's sort of spilled over into the early 90's. But, it didn't last long, and then great stuff came along.

Remember when The Daily Show was hosted by Craig Kilborn? And I miss A. Whitney Brown and Brian Unger. They were unreal.

16. See, I think the 80s had it all over the 90s in music
Not the regular radio crap, but the amazing stuff coming out of places like Manchester, England and Athens, Ga.: The Smiths, Joy Division, REM (early), The Church, The English Beat, Elvis Costello, The Jam, Lloyd Cole, World Party, Peter Gabriel, New Order, The Replacements, The Pixies, The Specials, Squeeze, The Charlatans, The The, Violent Femmes, etc. etc. There was some real innovation and creativity going on.

The 90s music to me just in general seemed like a lot of re-worked stuff we'd heard before.

9. My job paid well, I lived in a great house, I could afford to travel
I had health insurance. Best of all the world seemed to be a great place to be raising my babies. I loved the 90s.

13. Shit, man. Me too.
I remember thinking around 1998 or so that, except for the Clinton Impeachment horseshit, the country was doing really well. The economy was good, the world respected us, consumer confidence was up, unemployment was down, music and television were better than ever...

It was just a better time, that's all.

17. With you on most of your points.....
Music was good, and the TV was way better....

Personally, though, I'm doing much better career-wise and financially than I was in the 90's.
